| Castle grounds Labyrinth launch ceremony 24th August 2006. Civic and community leaders gathered for the opening of the Clitheroe Castle Labyrinth which was designed by land artist Jim Buchanan in collaboration with Ribble Valley community groups and schools. The unique project is a result of a partnership between Ribble Valley Borough Council, the market town initiative, Clitheroe the Future and the creative arts project Land. Ribble Valley Mayor Peter Ainsworth officially opened the labyrinth attended by council leaders and civic guests including High Sherrif of Lancashire, Peter Robinson, as well as Jim Buchanan and representatives of the funding bodies. |
