The Clitheroe Healthcheck allowed local people to identify the economic, environmental and social strength and weaknesses of the town and its surrounding countryside. It helped create a vision for the future as a sound basis for preparing an action/business plan.
The healthcheck:
The Healthcheck was carried out by four groups - Social and Community, Environment, Economic and Transport.

The groups were provided with a worksheet to work through to give a snapshot of the town in the aspects of social and community parameters. There were various core and supplementary questions that were answered through surveys and research.
