Community Projects Fund

Clitheroe the Future provides a local fund administered by Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Council for Voluntary Service. Small grants are allocated bi-monthly to local voluntary and community groups by a panel made up of representatives from local community groups and representatives from Clitheroe the Future.

The grants are between £100- £250 and are available to local groups to support projects and activities which respond to local needs and relate to priorities in the Clitheroe the Future Action plan.

We have already helped a local Art Group to plan some art displays in Clitheroe and supported a community pantomime production. Groups eligible for funding could include scouting and guiding groups, sports clubs and faith groups, as well as other community groups, but the project must be inclusive, for example, not solely for religious activities. Groups must employ no paid staff, and be properly managed, with an efficient accounting system. There are geographical restrictions on this fund, so you will need to check that your area is covered. Funding will only be awarded if this is your first grant from this scheme, and if you have a specific project in mind – we will not support ongoing running costs.

We have provided an application form for you to print off and complete, but if you would prefer to receive a copy through the post, or need help filling it in, or you would like more information on this grant scheme, please contact CVS on 01200 422995 or email ribblevalleycvs@ic24.net.
